Move forward as Manager Airfreight Healthcare at DSV in Schiphol
We are looking for an inspiring coach and mentor for our team of operational key account managers and air freight forwarders in the Healthcare division at Schiphol. Your focus? Ensuring the quality of our services related to air freight healthcare goods, seizing commercial opportunities and further developing talent and growth within this department. That's what you do!
You get it done
Due to your experience in the healthcare industry, you are already familiar with all quality standards, laws and regulations (GDP). As a result, you can provide your team of freight forwarders with operational advice and help them further develop their knowledge and skills. With your helicopter view, you identify potential challenges and seek collaboration with the four team leaders to streamline operational processes as efficiently as possible. Thanks to your confidence, you tackle challenges head-on and offer constructive solutions to strengthen our services to clients. You are also commercially savvy, recognizing opportunities with our clients and working with key account managers to find fitting solutions that DSV can offer. With your support and trust, the healthcare team excels and together, you achieve great successes; you contribute to this.
How you do this? By actively seeking collaboration with your team and other departments within DSV. We find it important that you can navigate within the global setting of DSV. Curiosity can be very useful here, as well as a touch of boldness and decisiveness. Fortunately, you are confident and not afraid to take the lead. The team finds in you a strong personality, someone who dares to make decisions and enjoys working together with colleagues. It’s a team effort!
Ensuring a positive customer experience and, in particular, maintaining quality in the area of GDP is one of your priorities. You are a good conversational partner and knowledgeable about your work field. This is important as you will have close contact with clients, suppliers, airlines, carriers and agents. Visiting these parties and giving presentations are also part of your role. You report directly to the Branch Manager, and naturally, you will periodically present the results of your department. Together with your team, you ensure the best international transport solutions and the most client-focused partnerships. You achieve this by:
- preparing reports (internal, external), analyzing data, steering towards KPIs and maintaining quality;
- acting as a problem solver, being the go-to person for your colleagues during escalations and issues;
- budget monitoring, invoicing and maintaining a solid, stable personnel policy;
- bringing structure to the department, empowering the teams;
- managing and updating the work processes in your department, standardizing, implementing and ensuring your team members adhere to them.
Your team stands out within DSV for its enthusiasm, camaraderi and hard work. All colleagues get along very well with each other. And when things get hectic on the work floor, we look for collaboration and help each other where needed. Of course, there is also room for fun; we are a fan of humor and strive by a pleasant working atmosphere.
