Do you start your career at DSV?
Within the Solutions division of DSV we are annually looking for new Management Trainees who will start with us after their university or HBO studies on September, 1 at the latest.
In a period of two to three years, you will go through a number of functions or roles within our organisation; you will become acquainted with management as the person responsible for operations in the warehouse, you will be challenged as an engineer or you will undertake an improvement project at Customer Services. Would you prefer something else and for example be more involved in topics such as sustainability, account management or sales or an automation project? Or are you waiting for that one cool customer implementation that is coming up? That's certainly possible too, because that's how a traineeship at DSV works.

What can you expect from us?
During this period you will be guided by a mentor who will give you advice and direction. All this in a safe and open atmosphere. Your supervisor will develop you further in the role or function you are currently performing and will give you feedback on your performance. In addition, the other Management Trainees from the Netherlands and Belgium will play a major role during your programme; in addition to intervision sessions, you will take part in master classes that are organised, arrange for your fellow trainees to visit the site where you work and get to know DSV's other divisions. Would you like more? Then of course you are also welcome at the meetings of DSV NEXT: the platform for and by young professionals within DSV.
During your traineeship, you will follow the regular (internal) training courses and courses appropriate to your position or role at that time; from system training, GreenBelt, project management to leadership training with other managers in the Netherlands and Belgium. You also have access to a wide range of e-learnings. Together with the other Management Trainees, you will also follow the 'Game Changer Programme'. This is an intensive 9-month programme in which you work hard on yourself and on a group assignment. Communication, leadership and stakeholder management are competences you will develop further in this programme. At the end, you and your group will give a pitch to senior management and ask them for an investment to put your group assignment into practice. Of course, this will not happen automatically and you will have to be able to defend yourself well. Will your group succeed in getting that investment?
