In the DSV Group Project Management Office (PMO), you will be a part of a group of 80+ highly professional colleagues. Our mission is to provide high-quality services and handle projects for the DSV organisation, supporting business and group functions in executing global strategies.

You will be based in Hedehusene (Headquarters) with 40 of your colleagues, you will have access to a wealth of knowledge and work closely with our PMO management team as well as senior stakeholders from e.g. Business Divisions, Business Change Management, IT and other Group Functions such as HR, Finance and Compliance.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with strong expertise in digital and IT technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, driving digital transformation, and delivering technical solutions that align with business objectives.
You will be responsible for handling medium to large projects or programmes which are linked directly to the DSV strategy.
Lead complex projects linked to our strategy
In DSV we continue to grow in all aspects of the organisation. This means that you will be responsible for running enterprise-level projects, which are directly linked to the DSV strategy. The projects will mainly revolve around our Road transformation programme and may consist of multiple teams/workstreams and require integration and interdependency with other activities outside the project scope.
Ability to running 2-3 medium size projects at a time or large scale projects/programmes, you will have close cooperation with Project managers, Programme managers, stakeholders; which include both team members in the project, Business and IT, cross functional departments within the group as well as senior and executive management.
Specifically, you will:
- Utilize project governance according to our PMO framework.
- Work with Business and Group Functions to ensure continued collaboration, a good project structure, coordination and transparency.
- Work with third party and/or customers representatives in technical end-point changes.
- Handle the development process across all project stages – from initial business case initiation up to an operational implementation of changes – together with the DSV organisation.
- Handle budgets and ensure close control of project spend across multiple teams – and when needed, on a programme level working with Programme Manager.
- Ensure that we tend to the project backlog and future in-take approvals effectively and that they are aligned across our stakeholder community.
- Translate complex statuses to comprehensive, fact-based reports, which you deliver to senior management, providing project updates and insights on a bi-weekly basis.
- Strong Leadership capabilities.
Solid project management experience managing Digital and IT operation project, with an understanding of supply chain.
Needless to say, this role requires good interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to build and maintain business relationships. You know how to maneuver across the organisation, and while you use your coaching skills in your interactions, you also know how to stand your ground when others challenge you.
Further you:
- Have at least 7+ years of continuous project management experience with medium to large corporate projects – preferably from a global PMO.
- Experience running large projects or programmes, with a good understanding of digitalization and IT Operations including ITSM framework with the ability to navigate between both the Business and IT.
- Have a good understanding of supply chain, logistics and IT Operations, with the ability to navigate between Business, IT and group functions.
- Understand project management models i.e. Prince2 and/or agile frameworks such as SAFe – a certification is an advantage.
- Are fluent in English (Oral Danish is an advantage).
- Self driven with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, including board members, executives, and external partners. Negotiate with key stakeholders to secure project resources and ensure stakeholder buy-in and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
