DSV are recruiting for Operations Assistant in Feltham. This role will be part of our Night Export department. 

• The successful candidate, who will be reporting to the Warehouse Manager, will be responsible for producing CSD’s and cutting and closing MAWBs. 

• The person we are looking for must be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high job quality. 

• The applicant must have good export documentation awareness, be organised and punctual and have good knowledge of the Air Freight industry. 

• We are looking for a person who can add extra quality to our already highly skilled export team and be able come up with alternative solutions to challenges and problems whilst at the same time work under pressure.    

Key Tasks  

• Producing MAWBs  

• Producing HAWBs  

• Producing CSDs   

• Check lot x-ray log  

• Check MUCR/DUCRs match in ICE  

• Any consol re-hashes  

• Cut/Close consols daily  

• To be able to service our blue chip account  

• Make sure tie ups are done  

• Answering emails, queries etc.  

• Monitoring the gateway inbox  

• Check postflights  

• Split documentation in Cargowise  

• Housekeeping  

Duties / Responsibilities 

• To maintain systems and processes and to provide good customer service

• Production & preparation of and all related requirements for exports.  

• HMC control requirements to enable exports  

• To liaise with airlines, branches and warehouse 

• Problem solving - that may affect performance i.e. prepare paperwork for customs and airlines or monitor inbound/outbound flights  

• To ensure shipment procedures are followed according to procedures  

• To maintain accurate data on company systems  

• To match Export Records for export customs 

• Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment  

Skills and Competencies  

• Microsoft Office, Word and Excel  

• Good communicator 

• Team Player  

• Experience with Security "Regulated Agent" and CargoWise would be preferred but not essential  

• Analytical skills an advantage
